Masking Optional

COVID Protocols – Low Spread Means Masking Options!

While COVID numbers are rising slightly in our area, we are grateful we remain within the criteria for Low community transmission rates…even as we also are coming to the solemn milestone of one million deaths in the United States as a whole.

In the Low transmission stage, the Regathering Task Force and Council have approved protocols to permit individuals to choose whether to wear a mask or not at church events, including larger, public gatherings like Sunday worship. This means that shared food and beverages can return to our indoor spaces.

Masks are optional on campus as long as we stay in the Low stage in the Austin Public Health risk chart. Should we return to Medium or High Levels, we will return to masking for large or public meetings.

As ever, we continue to urge each individual to follow the protocols that are recommended for you based on risk…and we ask anyone who will be on campus to prescreen for symptoms and stay home if you feel sick.
