Summer Worship

Many thanks to all who have supported our transition to live streaming worship from the Sanctuary. It is so good to have our gathering rooted in that beloved sacred space again.

Throughout the summer we will continue to have one Sunday morning service at 10 AM, which will be live streamed, as well as open to in person worshippers (with masking and social distancing practices in place). Outdoor worship in the evening at 7 PM will continue but will move indoors now that the heat of summer has arrived. This service will not be available online, and we do ask for masks to be worn at any public event held indoors.

Additionally, while we have not yet been singing when gathered in person, we anticipate gradually returning to that practice. In July, the final song of the service may be sung by music leaders, and eventually members of the assembly will be invited to join in singing if they wish. Masking protocols remain in place for singing at this time. If you are uncomfortable with singing in a group, you are welcome to receive the closing blessing from the Narthex…or to do what feels right for you.

Please do continue to email office@peaceaustin.org to notify us of your Sunday attendance plans each week to help us make sure our space can be ready for the number of folks who will be there!

We are so grateful to welcome Pastor Jennifer Obermueller (she/her) as guest pastor for the month of July. Jennifer Obermueller is an ELCA pastor living in Georgetown. Pastor Jennifer will be leading Sunday morning and evening worship, and will be available for pastoral needs during July.
