Pressure?

Pressure: Adapting and responding to this phase of the pandemic

Over the last 18 months, COVID-19 has turned (and continues to turn) our lives upside-down and has made things unpredictable, uncontrollable, and unprecedented. We are no longer just anxious about the virus itself, but the process of resuming pre-pandemic activities, the impact on the economy, our jobs, and the disruption of our daily routines as we transition to a new phase in the pandemic. The natural human response to losing our sense of control is stress, which primes us to be on high alert and to find a quick fix.

Are you feeling pressure right now related to the changing situations in the pandemic? Is it affecting your health, your attitude, or your relationships with family and friends? Would you like to have someone to talk to, just to help you through the next month or so? Our Stephen Ministers can help.

If you’d like to learn more about Stephen Ministry for yourself or someone else (inside or outside our congregation), please email stephenministry@peaceaustin.org with your contact information or call the church office and and a Stephen Leader will contact you.

During this period of social distancing, we can provide care by telephone, video conferencing, or other methods needed to maintain social distance.
