God’s Work. Our Hands. Sept 12

God’s Work. Our Hands. Sunday Sept 12, 1-3 pm
This day is an opportunity to celebrate who we are as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America – one church, freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor.
Service has always been at the core of Peace Lutheran Church and it does not stop now that things in the world are scary due to the pandemic. We want to serve while keeping ourselves and those we are serving safe.

With this in mind, please plan to come by the church between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. on September 12th. We will be set up under the covered drive at the Education Building to distribute “Bags of Peace.” These are bags filled with edibles that you can keep in your car to share with persons you may see that are experiencing homelessness.
We also will be collecting food and personal care items for Hill Country Community Ministries (HCCM). Some of the items for which they always seem to be in need include jelly, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes. If you prefer to give cash, you can do that here and choose HCCM.

Please come by and join with all those in the ELCA as we celebrate that we are freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor.
