A huge thank you to each of the PLC walkers/fundraisers that helped us again exceed our goal of $10,000. Rodger Ericson has been a rock star for us in raising $6,022 for Peace Lutheran Church, the Leander-Cedar Park CROP Hunger Walk, and the CWS CROP Hunger Walk. The total raised by Peace Lutheran Church is $12,097, contributing to the Leander-Cedar Park total of $15,785.74. We thank all the friends and family beyond Peace’s members who contributed, as well as the Peace members that offered gifts above and beyond their usual church contributions to support this important cause. Hill Country Community Ministries is the recipient of almost $4,000; the remainder will be used nationally and internationally for food sustainability.
There is a plan in place to meet with area CROP Hunger Walk leadership to help other groups in Leander and Cedar Park be a bigger force in Stopping Hunger One Step at a Time.
