Pressure: Adapting and responding to this phase of the pandemicOver the last 18 months, COVID-19 has turned (and continues to turn) our lives upside-down and has made things unpredictable, uncontrollable, and unprecedented. We are no longer just anxious about the virus itself, but the process of resuming pre-pandemic activities, the impact on the economy, our jobs, and the disruption of our daily routines as we transition to a new phase in the pandemic. One of the traditional Lenten disciplines is reading scripture. For our Community Connections Bible Studies during Lent, we will turn our attention to some of the lesser-read, small books of the New Testament. Some of these are NOT included in the 3-year lectionary cycle, and some only appear for a month or so every three years. Perhaps there is a reason why these books get less attention, so let’s find out together!
These studies are discussion based and you can join them at any time and fully participate. So grab your favorite beverage and join us at 1:00 PM on Zoom or Facebook.
Each session will begin with readings of each passage to study followed by a time to reflect. Then we will explore the passages, think about how each passage relates to our lives, and consider how we can apply these insights to our lives in the coming days or weeks.
