Communion (Eucharist, Lord’s Supper, Mass) is celebrated weekly at Peace, in response to our understanding of this sacrament as an event that unites us with God, with each other, and with the Church's mission in the world. The Lutheran Church proclaims the real presence of Christ in bread and wine. In this meal we receive the forgiveness of sins and are connected to the grace of God. By Jesus' own invitation and through his mercy, people of all ages are welcome at the Lord’s Table.  For children, receiving communion for the first time is a family decision.  Peace offers a four week class for students, typically around fourth grade.  If a child reaches out to share in the meal, we welcome them.  If you are interested in First Communion, speak with the pastor.
