What can I do? Many people want to serve, but aren't sure where their talents are needed. There are many opportunities for service at and through Peace. What follows is not a complete list but gives you an idea of some of the opportunies available. Please look at the "Time & Talent" sheets, check the calender and the monthly and weekly newsletter (The Messenger), and specific board members for additional opportunities.
Worship Assistance Service

Caring Ministries Service
- Provide transportation to and from church
- Visit new parents with information about baptism
- Occasional provide people with a meal in times of illness or a death in the family
- Send sympathy cards on behalf of the congregation
- Prayer chain

Education Service
- Adult Class Leader
- Sunday School Teacher or Assistant

- Community Service & Fellowship
- Adult Faith Partners (mentoring, discussion groups, lock-ins, games, youth led worship)
- Host Youth Fellowship Activities
- Host in Home Meetings
- Driver for youth events
- Bible Study Facilitator
Fellowship Service
- Host the fellowship hour between Sunday services (either set-up or clean up)
- Form new groups of people with shared interests (dinner, theater, walking, golf, etc.)
- Set up, serve or clean up after church meals
- Keep the church's kitchen organized and clean
- Purchase fellowship supplies
- Cook or bake for various events

Community Service
Peace supports the following community ministries on an ongoing basis. Peace also supports additional ministries as opportunities arise. Contact Beth Lorenz for questions regarding these minstries.
- Consider becoming a Stephen Minister
- Hill Country Community Ministries
- Williamson County Crisis Center
- CROP Walk (for hunger, an annual event.)

Property Maintenance Service
- Help landscape and water the grounds
- Help paint when needed
- Participate in workdays
- Use your carpentry, electrical or plumbing skills on occasion
- Provide routine maintenance (changing light bulbs or air filters, wash windows, etc.)
- Provide access to special tools and vehicles as needed

Welcoming & Evangelism Service
- Greeter
- Make "Thank You" phone calls and/or write "Thank You Notes" to visitors
- Maintain Children's Activity Packets
- Facilitate Peace Information Classes
- Take pictures of new members and of parish activies
- Shepherd new members

Communication Service
- Be in charge of the narthex bulletin board contents
- Writing articles about events for local newspapers
- Assist in creating a brochure for the church
- Write up articles about our new members for the newletter
